Sticky Note:  Have the faith of a Vandal

Jesus has torn open the barrier that was between us and God because of sin.  When his body was broken on the cross, He became the gap through whom we enter a relationship with God.  Jesus is the only gap, the only way to God.  (Yes, that brings up questions, but we mustn't shrink from the truth of it.)

Our deepest need is Jesus himself, and the forgiveness and sonship he gives us by free grace.  He has the authority to forgive us because he is God, and because in going to the Cross, he laid down his authority to save us.
