Sticky Note:  Jesus is THE Hero

Noah, like all the "little h" heroes of the Bible, are signposts that point us to the TRUE Hero, Jesus.

Jesus is THE righteous One
    -Do we understand that because Jesus was perfectly righteous, all who put their faith in Jesus have been declared legally righteous before God by His grace?  And at the same time, we are being MADE righteous, as our lives conform to Jesus' life.

Jesus is THE good news for the weak
    -Are we involved in being and building places of safety for the poor and the weak around us?

Jesus is THE preacher of righteousness
    -Do we see that our main mission is to be gospel-ers (good news-ers), rather than prophets of doom?

Jesus is THE persecuted One
    -The scriptures promise that all who live godly lives in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.  Is there any persecution for Jesus' sake in our lives?

Jesus is THE suffering One
    -Do we know and enjoy that there will be no suffering on judgement day for the believer?  That Jesus bore ALL of the condemnation?

Jesus in THE ark, THE new covenant
    -Are there people around you who need to know that there is a place of safety for them, and that Jesus is that safety?  Are we praying that they will know Him?
