Genesis 3:7-13 Blame

  • Speaker: Mark Brown
  • Date: Sunday, November 07, 2010
  • Series: Genesis

Sticky Note:  I am not my own savior

Strategies of trying to be our own savior:
    -pretending, covering up
    -hiding, going on the run
    -shifting the blame

God never expects us to save ourselves...Jesus alone is our Savior
-He took our shame on the cross, and covered us with His perfect life
-He removed fear by enduring for us what we should have been afraid of
-When He could have justly blamed us, He was silent, absorbing the blame for us

People deeply believe the gospel when...
...they immediately run to Jesus for restoration after they know they've sinned
    ...instead of resorting to strategies
